Der Limes ~

Today Barbel and the boys took us to see the Limes ~ a line of fortifications that ran across Europe to protect the Romans from the "unsubdued Germanic tribes." In addition to the Fort, we actually saw a bit of the old dirt wall, ditch, and wooden fence that extended across the land
