My Christina and Me In Thailand!

As a perusal of my blog will attest, I love traveling the world!  That doesn't mean, however, that it's always easy.... The hardest times for me to be so far away from family are the holidays.  I guess that's not big news - most anyone would probably feel the same.  There is one way to make these times a bit easier is..... travel together with family over the holidays!!

Actually, Christina and I have made quite a habit of spending Christmas together. This year we took on Thailand!!!!

Guess we weren't the only ones who headed to Thailand ~ Us and 999 elephants!

Just two lovely ladies ready for a night out on the town!

We opted for dinner and a show!

After our brief time in Bangkok, we headed for the beach on Koi Samui, one of the many islands of Thailand.  We had such a relaxing time at our own little beach.  It was just what we needed to recuperate ~

Our pool and restaurant ~

Because of the holidays, we even treated ourselves to lobster!!!

The pyrotechnics were spectacular!!!

Spending days walking the beach....

Photobomb!

Just couldn't get over the sunsets!

Beach vacations always cleanse my soul ~ It's where I find myself; heal; find peace

And drink.... Yep, we did some drinking in this little beach town, too! ;)

We were so lucky to spend this New Year's Eve on the beach ~

And even luckier to have found this beautiful lady to spend it with!!!!

We had a gorgeous harvest moon!

Happy 2016!!!

There is a lovely tradition here of sending little hot air balloons into the night sky with your wishes ~ They made such a beautiful nighttime sky

Christina and I had just one night in Bangkok before our vacation came to an end, and so we decided to take an evening street food tour!

This was the most bizarre food - It looked like a sea sponge, but it was really some kind of fish dish... Did NOT think I would like it at all! But turns out, it was pretty yummy!

We also walked through the flower market - So pretty!

They did the coolest thing to the lotuses - they would twist the petals to make them look like completely different flowers!

And we ended the evening, and our trip, with a visit to the Wat Arun - the Temple of Dawn
